CNC routing allows the designer to create anything that needs to be cut on a machine to a specific size and scale from CAD data. This can be simple cut-outs in sheet materials like plywood, mdf or composites, to more complex patterns in 3d using foam or rigid polyurethane boards. Typical uses for a cnc router are sign making, instruments, sculptures, Theme parK displays, jigs and foundry patterns.
